Hand-lettering wrapping paper?! Yes, please! It is a wonderful way to create pretty packages that are both easy and affordable. I believe it's nice because it is a you can add a personalized touch to a gift for a specific individual. Since it's the holidays, this would also be great to write holiday related messages.
MATERIALS:
- Kraft Wrapping Paper (Got mine from Paper Source)
- Ribbon
- Washi Tape
- Pencil/Pens
- Eraser
- Tape
- Ruler
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Using a ruler and pencil, create lines at an angle you would like the words to appear. You can create this any way you want, horizonal or slanted. For this birthday wrapping paper, I went with a slight slant.
Step 2: With a pencil, sketch/write out the personalized message. Don't worry about making it perfect, you can fix it with pen later. This is a good way to eyeball/see where you want to place the text.
Step 3: After you have written out in pencil, go back and trace over with a pen. The pen I used is Micron, they have a variety of fine point tips. Ideal for different projects depending the on the thickness of how you want your text.
Step 4: Once you're happy with the writing in pen, use an eraser to erase any pencil marks.
Step 5: Wrap up your gift and add some ribbon and embellishment.
it was so unique and beautiful! the pics in this post are pretty!
