Second half of the year, switching up a little bit. I still plan on using Design A but adding in some new Design pages.Used a combination of Midnight Edition Core Kit filler cards and some printables. This week also includes a freebie from Life Love Paper! Also had a leftover freebie from Create Share Love.

Last Sunday was my mom's birthday. We had planned on going to lunch the Saturday but she wasn't feeling well so we had postponed it. Believe she caught a cold while coming back from their vacation to California. So hopefully scheduling something this upcoming week.
Had a girls night out with Allison and Megan. We tried out a new opening location of District Taco in Merrifield. Apparently they serve breakfast items all day. I may have to come back for that! It's something about getting together with friends to catch up. I like the little routine that we meet up atleast once or two a month. To eat yummy food and just talk. Excited about planning a little more for mini girls' trip at the end of August.
Ending the week with Robert's friends having a spontaneous BBQ. Couldn't ask for more beautiful day to have it. Robert's other friend brought his dog, Bowser and we brought Bear. They were tired out by the end of the day. Glad that they got to hang out. They are the real live version of Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo.
Right Side View:
This past year, have been working with Robert's friend, Ryan on my events and design website. At first, I was thinking of the name The Rustic Type but after awhile, thought it was narrowed to one category. So worked with my sister (who's amazing at Calligraphy and Graphic Design) helped me with the design/branding.
I stuck with my full name, I had thought, what if this fails and my names goes down with it? The fear of starting new. I feel like I am putting myself out there one step at a time. I was scared in reaching out to people and to work with them. I didn't think I was good enough. But I have to remind myself, they started out probably in the same shoes. Just have to keep trying.
This was the perfect time for some motivation. While I was on Life Love Paper's blog, saw Tina write a post about pep talk to herself. Then this is where I discovered The Pep Talk Generator. Where has this been all my life?! The one I included this week was a quote from Elise Joy, another blogger I love to read. The quote is, "Hey you. Good news: No one knows what they are doing. Better news: You get to make mistakes. Best news: You get to keep trying again until you find the right fit. So... focus on one thing and one day at a time. Keep your head down. Work hard. Fail quickly. Move on. Go!" - Elise Blaha Cripe
loving the website design!!!
